My name is Irit Tohar, and I am an artist, a designer and creator of decorative and functional objects for the home, hand crafted in natural materials. “It’s Art” is my world – the world of art.
My DNA –
I believe that the fundamental elements that make up our lives; wood, iron, fabric and wool open up infinite possibilities of creating countless combinations, each generating a new story and a new product.
The living room as a playground
The living room is the central area where all family activity is focused, including play, leisure and hospitality. The products I design connect all these – they are esthetic and decorative, and they serve for activities and games. I believe in shared and individual family activity taking place in the living room – and not in separate rooms . I believe that this kind of collaborative lifestyle is important in forming and shaping all interactions between family members.
At the end of the day, my goal is to transform art into an added and leading value through practical products from the world of leisure and play, the basis for my creativity – for your, and my own enjoyment .
